Transferring Ps4 users to your own PS4?

I play on my son's PS4. I have my own user, email and password for PS Plus. But no membership of your own, play my son's games.

If I now buy my own PS4, I can then change my user / memory status ect. Transfer easily? Or is that not possible? Quasi disconnect!
If so! As?
That then even need PS Plus is clear to me. But don't want to start all over again.

Fr

The account transfer is easily possible with PS plus. In fact, not just one, but every PS you want to play on. PS plus activates the online storage. In those you can upload saved games and download them elsewhere. Most of the time it even happens automatically. In many (online) games, progress is even tied directly to your account and the respective server. With games like this, you don't even have to download anything.

jo

You could get yourself PS + and then upload your game saves to online storage on your son's Playstation and then download them to your new Playstation.

Je

But will my son have his own on the PS4 again? It's really just about Red Dead 2;) That we could play it together

Je

It's basically about disconnecting mine so that he has his on his PS4 and I mean extra on my PS4. So I don't know how to transfer all of the data that is possible.

Fr

If you've really played with different accounts, everyone will keep their score. As long as your score remains on your son's PS, it will not be automatically deleted. However, the one in the online storage is updated regularly. This means that you can both have saved games independently of each other and that they don't hinder each other. If you mean Red Dead online, progress is account-bound one way or another.

jo

In what way? This is how the scores can be transferred. If you want to continue to share games, your son would have to log into your Playstation and activate it as the primary PS4. Then your son can play the games on his Playstation on his account and you can play the games on your Playstation.

Je

Ok great, then I'm reassured! Yeah all about online Red Dead

Je

No, it's completely own. But would like to take my user with me.

Fr

No problem.

As already mentioned, online games are mostly account-bound. This means, for example, that you can play every online game with him - even without having ps plus - without your scores having a problem with one another. Provided, of course, that at least your son has ps plus in order to be able to play online at all.

jo

Oh, so you have the scores on your son's account and now want to have them on his own account?

Je

I have my own user, but on his PS4. And just want to transfer this to your own PS4

Je

Yes, that's how we're doing it right now. But I want to have my own PlayStation. And just take my user with you.

jo

I have described how it works above. You upload the data from your user to the online storage and then download it again on your new Playstation. You can simply log in to the new Playstation with your login data.

Fr

Yes that works the other way round.

I just wanted to say again that as long as someone has a PS, everyone can log on to it and use all content without any additional information.

Je

Then I understood it differently for a moment.
