Which headset up to 300 euro?

I need a headset now. I just want a crazy headset for gaming. Mainly Call of Duty / FPS. My budget is up to 300 euro. I would only use the headset for gaming (locate opponents, etc.).
these would be my 4 favorites, but I'm open to all suggestions. Would use the headset on the PC and on the PS4.

1. MMX 300 // 2. Astro A40 Trx // 3. Astro A50 // 4. Sennheiser Game One headset

Two more questions:

With some headsets these AMp are included (look like small DJ consoles xD)

do I need them and what is their purpose anyway?
I also heard that Dolby 7.1 is best for headsets for gaming? Is that correct? Or is stereo enough?

ca

Game one is extremely old.

I would rather go for a microphone on this budget, microphones sounded better

Sc

MMX 300, or if you don't need a microphone, the DT 770 Pro, are the same headphones.

No, you don't need a 7.1. On the contrary, stereo is better. The 7.1 sound is only simulated cheaply and does not give you any advantages.

If, for whatever reason, you have to have something better than the standard recommendation HyperX Cloud or my favorite alternative Lioncast LX55, then I would go for Sennheiser Game Zero. The Game One is practically only with open headphones, which can help you with the acoustic feeling of space.

However, the same applies to this Sennheiser as to the MMX 300: They are simply far too expensive for the fact that they are just significantly cheaper headphones with a microphone stuck to them.

You don't really need an additional amplifier with these devices, at most with the MMX 300 that could be useful.

Virtual surround is nonsense. You have two ears, so you need exactly stereo with headphones.

To

But old doesn't necessarily mean bad.

ca

Not that but there are better ones.

ca

7.1 is good for playing shooters in particular, you can hear from where the opponent is coming from, which you can't necessarily say in stereo.

De

I thought that one is open? Otherwise, thank you very much. Maybe just get me your recommendation

To

Oh, f… I take that back and claim the opposite. ^^ Of course the One is open and the Zero is closed.

To

Nonsense. You have exactly two ears and with these two ears you can locate noises perfectly, because the location is only created by the time offset on the two ears. Headphones are directly on the ears and can therefore map this offset as best as possible. Of course, the sound signal has to be designed accordingly, but this part is taken over by the game engine, so you don't need surround software. This worsens the result rather than improving it.

It is different with speakers. They are far from your ears, so they can only create spatiality relative to each other. Therefore, you need a surround setup here if you want to hear sounds behind you.

Which HyperX Cloud would you recommend? Does the II still exist?
