Controller? Coffee on controller?

Have accidentally spilled coffee on my PS4 controller 3-4 days ago! It started at the beginning, but it works again. Since 2 out of 4 screws are broken (turned around) I could not open it to clean it up. Is there a danger that the controller can explode or something?

Thank you! It really works fine again. In the beginning, it went by itself, but not anymore. Just keep the L2 button and the right cross button sticking a little bit. Also, the login of the controller is recognized by 2-3 seconds later, otherwise everything is as always.
