So I'm a Ps4 player and my controller has been acting on its own for a while. For example, I always "walked" even though I didn't press anything. My buddy always told me to blow in and it only helped for 1 min and I had the same problem again… This upward movement was extreme
I'm well aware that the guarantee expires when I open the controller, but I did not find the invoice after a long time, so I opened the controller and tried to fix the problem. In the inner side of the left stick, a green shell has broken off and when assembling, the directional pad suddenly presses itself in the Ps4 menu…
The controllers are damn expensive and I don't have much money for a new one right now… If I told the Lord that I had never opened it: Would it work? Can they prove how I opened it? Can they get it out somehow?
I would just give it a try. When mine broke I did the same thing. Didn't notice and got a new one.
Still probably won't bring you much. Sounds like you've been using the controller for a while and the joystick is locked. (unless you have something emptied over the controller)
Did something break from the inside?
Yes, it is. But I don't know exactly what. It's been a bit.
Ok thanks your answer helped a lot ✌️ I'll give it a try
They probably have a kind of seal, which can only be broken if the device has been opened.
I also thought about it… It could be real, but I'll give it a try
They don't look big either. If it doesn't work you get a new one. Otherwise it would take a lot of time and effort. It is easier for Sony to send a new one.
Disassemble the thing again and look for a broken glue or something similar. Sometimes the seals are noticeable (stickers or covers) but sometimes they can of course also be hidden elsewhere.
Ok and where did you return it? I got mine from Saturn. So do I have to hand it in there again?
Of course they notice that. A controller has a sticker on the back of a screw that you have to get out to be able to open the controller at all. Is the way, it is logical that they see it when you glue it back on, you can still see it because the second time it doesn't stick as well as an unopened one and, above all, the adhesive also lubricates the it's not so easy to get away from the controller housing.
I think so. I bought mine on Amazon back then. Of course you still need the receipt.
