Why are Blu-ray players so expensive? DVD players for the PC are thrown after one and Blu-Ray players cost as much as 2 Tripple A PS4 games?

I do not know if you find it cheap, but I find $ 80- $ 140 for a Blu-Ray player too expensive, especially since I only wanted one to watch an English Blu-ray.

Blu-ray is still the newest standard. DVD is the previous generation. If at some point a new standard comes, the Blu-ray players are also cheaper.
