I have a not that old Ps4 pro which unfortunately gets loud like a vacuum cleaner in almost all games. It also gets loud on the start screen even though I'm not doing anything. I've already opened it and cleaned it, but only the first lid and not the one with the screws didn't work. I don't dare to replace the thermal paste, I don't want to break anything. Lowering the resolution did not help either and it stands where it gets a lot of air.
What should I do now? It really gets on my nerves. Is there something like a repair service where you can have the console checked or should I get a new one right away? Best ne slim because I've heard that it isn't that loud.
If the Ps4 still has a warranty, I wouldn't open it any further. Replacing thermal paste is actually easy, you just have to remember where which screw goes (with videos on YouTube this is easiest) and if you have already opened it, you can remove all the dust from the fan (the best option ). But if you don't want to open the Ps4 you could carefully vacuum the fans with a vacuum cleaner on the side, maybe a little dust should come out (if your Pro has fan outlets on the side at all. Have the old square one).
