I would like to connect my PS4 and PC to the same monitor. Would that work if I plug the HDMI cable from the PC into the monitor when I want to use the PC and when I want to use the PS4, switch the cable to the PS4? If that doesn't work, are there other options to use both devices on one monitor (not at the same time)?

Some monitors also have multiple HDMI inputs, in which case you don't have to reconnect the cable each time, instead the PC and the PS4 are each connected to one input. Depending on the monitor, the existing input signal is then automatically switched and / or you can manually set which input signal should be used in the monitor.
If, on the other hand, the monitor only has an HDMI input, you can also use an HDMI switch. The PC and PS4 are then connected to this and you can change which signal is then forwarded to the monitor. This saves you having to switch the cable.
