After my console showed error messages several times during a game and could not solve them with the help of Playstation Support, the initialization seemed the only option.
But now my controllers can't be connected to it anymore, even though I have already disconnected the console from the power, followed the correct order of the usual problem with connection difficulties with the controller, used a new USB cable and did the Playstation as well from the dust.
Maybe something is broken with the software. My console is already relatively old, so from 2014 but actually it has worked quite well for initialization so far. Loud she was and now and then there were error messages but this should be normal.
Did you start the console before plugging the USB cable into the controller? For me, the controller connects e.g. Not if the console is off and the controller is not stored on this PS4.
