Smart trigger can be switched off on the controller?

I want to configure a controller on aimcontrollers. There's the option smart trigger. That means that r2 and l2 can't be pushed through completely, that they work like keys. I'm just wondering now because nothing is there whether it can also be switched off so that it functions normally again. Or is that fixed then? And is there perhaps a ps4 configuration that is cheaper and offers cool designs?

As far as I don't know. I looked and you see on the controller after installing smart triggers, no button or something where you could turn it off on the controller. So no. I'm pretty sure.

But there are alternative scufs where you can adjust it, but the price goes up.

Ah OK, I've gotten away from the smart triggers anyway. But I thought about installing these additional buttons on the back of the controller. Then I could program them on r2 and l2. Then I would have the same effect, right? I'm just thinking about whether these keys interfere with gaming at games where you don't need the keys like at racing games. I never accidentally press it. I don't know how easy it is to push them. Or doesn't that bother you? Sorry for the long text😅

So, I myself have an Aim controller with 2 padels. These are so that you don't have to move your thumb away from the stick to reach other buttons such as triangles, etc. I would find it unnecessary to put l2 and r2 on the padels. Better put x and o on it. Smart triggers are very cool, but if you want to play other games, they are annoying, because in racing games, for example, you have to consider the strength of the push. If you still have your old controller, you can easily get smart triggers for shooters etc… And get the old one for racing games. In shotter games, the smart triggers are great.

OK thanks. Unfortunately, I don't have an old lever, unfortunately it broke. But thanks for your contribution, you helped me a lot👍
