Dlan is indeed "Internet from the socket" right? I definitely want to move my PS4 to the upper floor. Would have to stop then maybe a 30m Lan cable. Is it perhaps better to use Dlan? Is not like a Wlan amplifier and also does not have the 100% power. The cable would arrive at the bottom what would be the case with Dlan?
We have from the Dahgeschoss, where the model of Unitymedia is, this Powerlan down to the basement. Also for my son's PS4 and the Blurayplayer with the whole apps. 4 floors, works great and is in contrast to the WLAN totally stable.
Is powerlan the same as dlan from the socket? Or what is powerlan?
Is it with you an electrical circuit? My dad says we have a backup for everything individual so for stove dining room etc. So multiple circuits. So if you have a short circuit somewhere the backup jumps out everywhere?
DLAN, also called Powerline is more stable than WLAN. I would recommend this: https://www.cyberport.de/?DEEP=5901-009&APID=117 This is a set of 4. It transmits up to 500 Mbit / second.
Here's a tip from me: I would connect to the router, an external USB hard drive with 2.5 inches. Then you have your own homecloud.
My question was rather whether there are power losses as the repeater but yes…
DLAN is almost always the worst of the three options. You are always dependent on your electricity network and above all on all possible sources of interference.
You can live in the newest new building, have your power grid the perfect layout and use the highest quality, shielded cables and a single low-cost LED enough that in the end no 20 Mbit / s come out more.
If you have the option to lay a cable, then lay a cable. Do not you have them and your walls are not like in the bomb shelter of meter-thick reinforced concrete, use 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
If the maximum transfer rate of the adapters is greater than that of the Internet provider, the losses are so low that you do not notice.
No. I've never really understood that either. It also works across circuits or across backups. We have for each floor in the house at least one backup, in the bathroom even 2, one of them with this Schutzdingenskirchens.
So at least in this regard no problem. I have in mind that it has something to do with "phase", but I do not understand electricity as much as Assyrian history. Zero.
We have also used this powerlan in previous homes. The eristic modules have always broken down relatively quickly for some reason, but it was always guaranteed. We then switched from D-Link to Devolo and they've been working here for a while now.
Own experience?
I would get something from TP Link. Rating and prices are ok
I wish you success!
Consistently bad.
