Best audio interface for Røde Procaster?

As already written in the question title, I'm looking for the best audio interface / mixer for the Røde Procaster. I'm not very concerned with XLR microphones, so I ask for advice here and do not look for it myself.

I would use the Røde Procaster for the PS4 so if possible the interface should be recognized on the PS4 as a headset, as is the case with Behringer. I already have an external sound card with headphones so something like headphone input etc. Doesn't matter at all.

I hope you can help me and I thank you in advance for every answer✌

For the Procaster, a feathead preamplifier is recommended in many forums, otherwise it will not reach its "sweet point". The Steinberg UR22 has 60 db gain, is actually quite decent. Who keeps you from trying it. If the quality is not enough, just put the part in between. It's good. At Thomann, the delivery is included in the price.

Getting a FetHead will not be a problem, but the UR22 will be a problem, which unfortunately can't be easily connected to the PS4☹

Sl

Oh, oh, you need a USB output. If you're lucky, karl Klammer will read your question. He really knows. I personally would simply call Thomann and describe the problem. They have good specialists there. I have always been well advised.

Ch

The connection itself is not a problem but that the audio interfaces from Steinberg are not recognized by the PS4. And I thank you for your answer. I'll have a look around. I've only had good experiences with Thomann😄

I'm out of the game console. No idea what Sony white-listed for clients and which not. Sony does not issue any documentation on who they generously pay for to "support" the Product-XY thing. Whereby "supported" means being allowed to operate.

Another thought: There are people who use an in-line amplifier like the FEThead to be able to rub their pre-amp in the sweet spot. It has nothing to do with any sweet spots from the microphone.

I don't know PS4. An idea:

Thomann has a small box from its own brand that supplies phantom power. With this you can run the fethead, then even weaker preamps should be able to handle the rode. This expands your options.

Ch

Could I theoretically take a Behringer mixer with phatom power and connect it to the FetHead with the Procaster? So would that sound just as good?

Lo

And the Behringer is connected to the PS like?

Ch

With usb just like everyone else, just behringer is one of the few where it is also recognized as a headset. With Steinberg as an example, it is not recognized afterwards and there's neither sound nor audio output.

Lo

Yes, it could work, but the Behringer might still be rustling, the USB part will be very easy anyway.

Yes, I'm overwhelmed, I'm a 24-bit fan, then recording becomes easier. And with PS I don't really know how to process sound.

Maybe a shure after all? They are good, and then everything stays within budget. Or the Rode Podmic?

Take a look at this:

Too easy for rode, should be relatively good for the price, but not as good as the Fethead
