Can someone recommend a good interface for a Rode Procaster? Should go to 100 euro. If possible. Need the interface for twitch for streams. Therefore only up to 100 euro. Just do it for fun.
Up to 100 euro for a ProCaster is critical because it requires a very strong PreAmp.
Until 100 euro: Steinberg UR12.
Up to 150 euro: Midiplus Studio M & TritonAudio FetHead.
The thing brings 1.60 mV / Pa. That's still more than a Shure SM57. For voice applications in front of the computer, the 50+ dB (often almost 60dB) gain of interfaces like Steinberg UR12 or Tascam US1x2 is quite sufficient.
That's true, but then comes the considerable background noise through the integrated PreAmps yet. I have used a ProCaster myself for a long time, I know the thing. The FetHead has a very low background noise and so far has been well-proven by everyone I've recommended.
I did not notice any significant background noise at UR12. For the price that is certainly ok, if you just want to record his speaking voice in front of the screen. But who wants to can still pin a FEThead or a 1073 in front of the interface.
