Unsupported DISK - PS4?

I have a DVD-R and DVD-RW here. On both of them I burned an MP4 file with my Windows 10 computer as normal in Windows Explorer. When I try to play the DVD's on the PS4, a question mark appears and it says "Unsupported disc" or something like that. Have I informed myself and both formats are supported by the PS4? These are brand new DVD's, am I doing something wrong?

May be that the laser from the DVD is weak and reads poorly
