How does my PS4 run smoothly again?

I have had the problem for 2 weeks now that my PS4 no longer runs smoothly e.g. If I have FIFA 20 games I have a still picture and after a short time the game runs very quickly to catch up on the lag and then the game runs again normally, but this happens several times in short intervals, so everything is unplayable. Especially now in quarantine it would be great if someone has a solution, thanks in advance and thanks for your attention 😉🙏

Probably overheating. Is it in a ventilated room or in a closet?

If she is a little older it could be dust. Then you could screw them on and clean them with compressed air. However, the guarantee is lost.

How old is the console?

Bought in October 2019

I don't think it's because I've always kept it clean and it's a great place

Then I would spray air cooler through the coolers, either it runs hot through dust or it got a bug during an update and you simply reset the console to factory settings.

You can easily remove the dust in the console, but it will settle either way
