Ps4 download bad despite good reception?

We recently changed our contract and got a 250k line.

I then temporarily had a download of approx. 90 Mbit / s

now he has gone down azf about 30, but only on the ps4.

if I do a speed test with my cell phone at the same place where the ps4 is normally located, I get about 120 Mbit /

(the router is one floor below)

however we do not have a LAN connection so I can't play with a LAN cable.

Does anyone know why my ps4 has such a bad download compared to the other devices?

250k line would be 0.25 Mbit / s…

As a hint with a 100 Mbit / s line, you can download 10 megabytes / s - roughly simplified.

Would strongly advise you to lay a cable in the apartment if you do large game downloads with several GB.

In general it is so that devices simply "set" the speed. You actually expect the devices to use their full potential, but unfortunately this is often not the case. I had the same problem. As I said, patience is the best solution. Maybe someone else can help you. But as far as I know it is unfortunately: /

And if you install a router (as a repeater) or Wi-Fi repeater in your room?

Maybe also Powerline Internet via power line.

Sk

Does that mean it could still change?

Sk

If I use a repeater, I get about 20 Mbit / s because the repeater always does a lot

Sk

I know, but the conversion is 8 Mbit = 1 MB

It always depends on the server from which you are downloading. The more people download through the same server, the slower it gets. Nice to see when Day One Patch is pulled. Just pause the download, wait a moment and then start again. This makes it faster from time to time.

LAN is the key. At least my PS4 is brutally slow over Wi-Fi.

And it's not because of the WLAN itself. Over time, I ran 7 devices in my living room via WLAN, and the PS4 was by far the slowest device.

Get a long LAN cable and only connect the PS4 when needed, when downloading. It's not perfect, but it helps.

Sk

We're pretty heavy, I would need a cable about 20 m long

However, I was told something about PowerNET.

but should not be quite as fast as LAN
