Playstation line is throttled?

Moin, I've observed a small but big problem for me for about a month.

My 400k (download) line is throttled from about 5:30 p.m. To exactly 01:00 a.m. From a stable 300k download to 40k. A 48gb game to download instead of 20-25 minutes 7 to 8 hours. Of course everything runs via LAN. This has been happening every day for the past 4 weeks now, with no timing changes. We have also ordered technicians but the lines are great and there's no overload in the evening, according to them. Nevertheless, the throttling happens, but only on the Playstation. Full performance arrives on the PC all day. Therefore my question whether anyone knows what this can be or whether there are similar problems? You only have 10% of the line for 1/3 of the day and since it is always throttled at the same times it must be something.

Ja

PlayStation also throttles because when many want it (it fits the time) the servers are overloaded. They would then be down.

I've only been testing for a month and it happens at the same time every day, whether it's Tuesday or Saturday. 0:55 a.m. 40k, 1:00 a.m. 300k. At that time I shouldn't have had the problem, I just didn't follow it intensively then as I do now throughout August. Other colleagues have never had this problem, regardless of whether they are in the area or across Germany.

Ci

The problem is usually the other way around, that the Internet provider throttles the line. But here it seems to be Sony and I can't imagine that 50 Playstations in the area would suddenly come on here without a single exception, and that one "had to" throttle all of a sudden, but for almost a year before that it was normal.

Pl

Have you ever reset the Playstation?

Ci

Complete? Not yet. But that would also be a bit inconvenient because you would then have to log in again with each user and verify. Do you have experience or how do you come up with it?

Pl

I could imagine that it is simply due to the Playstation (the drive didn't work for me because there was a bug in the software). I can give it a try, then we'll know whether it's the servers or the Playstation.

Ci

I just find it difficult to imagine that it is the console that keeps it throttling at the same time. In a pinch, I can try to get a second test, but I still can't imagine how it could be related.

Pl

But you've tried a different Lan Port, haven't you? Have you ever reset your router?

Ci

Yes, I have already tried, also swapped 3 different LAN cables and even the router. It's definitely not because of our internet.

Pl

So I also have what should arrive with me. Have a 100Mbit / s line and 85Mbit / s arrive, which is completely ok for it.

Ci

Yeah. Unfortunately, it doesn't do me much good because I know from my colleagues that I'm the only one with the problem. I just can't imagine that it should be the console and you get neither a solution nor an answer from Sony as to why it has been throttled so much recently.

Pl

But if it's not the router, LAN cable and the Internet itself, it must be the console.

Ci

Can it just as well be due to Sony and my street / area or not? But you don't get any information about it anywhere.

Pl

Can already be due to Sony. But I wouldn't attach it to your area, you don't have it on the PC either.

Ci

The PC has nothing to do with Sony either, so there are no problems there.

Pl

Wasn't Sony related to your area. Can of course be due to Sony, but why is only with you the question.

Ci

That's the funny thing. The question is also to what extent the console is to blame for the fact that the line is throttled at certain times of the day.

Pl

I can't help myself either. Who knows, maybe it'll work again soon.
