16k line vs 50k line?

I have a 16k line and always have a download rate of ~ 1.2mb / s. So I'm not getting the full download rate. However, we have expanded the network and I can now add a 50k line, does that mean that I still get stuck at the 1.2mb / s because simply no longer arrives or would I have to achieve higher download rates? And would a 50k line be enough to stream on e.g. Twitch? LG

You will have a much higher speed than now.

This is a 50 MBit line, not 50k. In the worst case, they make a little over half the nominal value, i.e. Significant speed increase.

Often, the providers still have a cheap 25Mbit solution, but it is at full speed. I'll take it. So I have no additional price compared to the 16Mbt solution:-)
