I'm somehow very divided. On the one hand, really cool games like Spider-Man or Horizon Zero Dawn were shown, but in my opinion not enough hits. Mainly newcomer games were shown that looked cool, but you can't do that much with most games and with some games you couldn't even recognize the genre or the like.
Not too much was shown graphically. A lot of games were designed in a Disney look or otherwise creatively, which looks good, but was also partially on PS4 level and not as super realistic as Gran Turismo 7.
This fruit game is a good example. It not only looks like it doesn't appeal to most players in terms of appearance, but it wasn't beautiful either, and more at PS3 level. Many textures were just spongy and undetailed and completely smooth, even in the trailer.
I have no doubts about the console itself, but if that is really the best or That is what Sony is promoting with release, it is strange, especially because Sony is actually one of the best when it comes to games.
I also noticed that mainly single player games were shown or single player games that may also have a PVP mode, but not multiplayer hits like COD, Battlefield or the like.
I would be interested in the opinion of other people.
So I also found that too few games were presented that really have potential, such as. GTA 6 or Cyberpunk 2077.
I also don't really like the design of the PS 5.
I guess they cost between 500-600 euro.
Not Horizon Zero Dawn was shown, but Horizon Forbidden West.
and what do you want from alpha, or max. Beta versions?
I see it very much like you. There were a little too few surprises for me. Thanks to the leaks, some things were known in advance and other titles either didn't knock my socks off or even left me somewhat confused. The design of the console didn't suit me (and apparently many others) as well. I would prefer the simpler design of the PS4 or the Xbox Series X. One can only hope that they finally got the fans under control.
Probably there will be a lot more and maybe even better games (trailers) shown in the next 2 months.
The stream only ran at 1080p. If you play a high-quality TV directly, it will all look a bit better.
I wasn't really disappointed as I expected that to be the case.
Only the unveiling of the design surprised me. I hoped that special features of the console would be presented, but I didn't really expect it. It was clear from the start that there was only a bunch of trailers and almost no gameplay to be seen.
The titles that were presented were not a revelation. A lot was expected / leaked beforehand (Resident Evil 8, Horizon 2, Demon Souls, GT7). I can't do anything with the whole Jump & Run stuff, but it is clear that there should also be something for children.
You haven't actually seen much of the really new titles, but some looked very interesting, but it will be a long time before you have playable ones. (Project Athia, Returnal, Pragmata).
Was just a teaser event, there's usually not much to give anyway, whether from Sony or Microsoft.
I find the console itself ok, nothing more. It doesn't look bad but it doesn't look great either.
Since most games could trigger the hype were leaked in advance, I'm rather disappointed in this regard, even if there were promising titles (e.g. Project Asthia). I still missed a few titles that I would like to see. In terms of graphics, there's now no huge progress to be seen, which was not to be expected at the current time and is also completely okay. Godfall in particular disappointed me extremely because the trailer almost looked like a mobile game.
The fact that no multiplayer games like CoD and co were shown is of course understandable since it was primarily about the exclusives.
All in all, I think that Sony said that the Future of Gaming statement set far too high standards that they could not meet themselves
I do not understand your question completely. It has nothing to do with the version of a game. You don't have to show finished gameplay. Even in an early alpha version you can show a good trailer.
"Not too much was shown in terms of graphics"
My statement relates to this.
