Redeem psn code 3 days later?

I want to buy a 30 euro Psn credit card for my friend on Amazon the code will then be sent to me by email can he redeem the code 3/4 days later?

As long as the card is not activated by another person, I guess that's not a problem. Because it wouldn't make sense, because you paid for it anyway and it should be up to you.
