Best gaming headphones?

I'm currently faced with the dilemma that I would like to get new headphones, it should be important that they work on the PS4 & PC, offer good enemy tracking & have a microphone (due to the use on the PS4).

So far I've been using the MH752, which unfortunately, strangely enough, has dropouts in between and I'm not really satisfied with it. Overall, I also think that there are definitely better headphones out there.

So far, I noticed the typical DT990 (unfortunately there's no microphone for the Playsi), the HyperX Cloud 2 & the G Pro X.

Maybe someone here has tips or comments beyond the typical "gaming headphones"?

Since you don't specify a budget: Beyerdynamic MMX-300. It is way overpriced, only for the fact that you get an okay microphone, but they are based on the very good DT 770.

The Cloud II is also a good headset, I have it myself. You can knock the USB sound card in the bin and the microphone quality leaves a lot to be desired.

Yes, in terms of budget the MMX300 would be pretty much on the limit, I'm currently rather unsure whether the Cloud 2 is sufficient or rather the MMX should be 😅 Do you think the Soundblaster G1 would make sense?

Da

My vote goes to the HyperX Cloud 2 because they sound objectively accurate, i.e. In measurements (compared to options in the same price range).

I already wrote that the microphone is bad, there's not much that can be done.

You can also create profiles using equalizer software.

The MMX 300 2nd Gen. Has an even better sound and a better microphone, but it also costs more.

Would also headphones + microphone go? Then you come out cheaper and of higher quality.

Yes exactly. First I ordered the MMX300 let's see how it is. Micro + headphones separately is of course cheaper but is out of the question due to the secondary use on the PS4. Can you recommend an equalizer software that can save profiles?
