I've had my old ps4 for 4 years and then an accident happened to me.

When I was playing, a glass of sparkling water spilled on the controller and I started shaking the controller like crazy to get the water out. But the next day, when it was safely dry, the controller only switched on with a cable. Without a cable, it works immediately off. Is it a system or battery failure and how can you fix it?
