When the game is online, the download will be a little slower. Depending on how bad your internet is, you can feel it in the game by lagging and high ping.
This will slow down the download speed. At least that's how it is for me.
No, you can't. You can either download 3 games at the same time at high speed if you are not playing or only 2 games at the same time at part of the speed while playing. It downloads by far the fastest in idle mode.
So it is with me. If I wait for the download and no other game takes time, the game takes forever to load. But if I play another game while downloading the other game, it feels shorter and faster. My ping doesn't go any higher for me. Of course there were days when the ping was high while another game was loading. But there are also days when none was loaded but the ping was very high.
But it's pretty rare.
So if I were you, I'd just play another game.
