Tips for buying home theater system?

I'm thinking about adding a home theater system for my living room. I would like to use it for movies / series and my Playstation.

My questions:

-What should I pay attention to if I want to buy a home theater system?

-What brand do you recommend? I have a budget of up to 800 euro

If you value really good sound and suitable equipment, 800 euro are not enough!

In the price segment a soundbar with external subwoofer would be the best choice for you.
