I totally slept that the PS5 is now coming out (got out?). Had a question before trying to get one.
I still have the very old PS4 and some games that I really want to play on the PS5. Only I have it on CD and not digitally. Now I've seen that you can save yourself 100 euro by buying the PS5 without a drive.
If I bought the games I really want on the PS5 again digitally in the PS Store, I would get around 105 euro. Without taking into account that I can still sell the games on CD for a few euro.
I don't need the drive for blu-ray films or anything.
So in my case it would make sense to buy the PS5 without a drive, right? Is there anything else I should be aware of?
Got out?
In Europe not until next Thursday.
Is there anything else I should be aware of?
If you have top internet, it would work. However, I think I would annoy myself to have to buy everything all over again.
Then I prefer the "better" version of the PS5 and maybe I'll need the Bluray Player in the future.
If you already have to spend 105 euro to buy the games again then you would be cheaper with the PS5 with drive than with the digital version. Since these are definitely not the last games you will buy for the PS5, you will be able to save even more money with the drive over Die Zeit. The digital version is therefore significantly more expensive in the long term.
If you really want to buy the games again, you can do so without any problems.
Then you just have to keep buying everything digitally. There are also deals here and there and also key sellers in PSN, but in the end you usually drive cheaper with the disc versions. (Generally often cheaper, various promotions from the dealers, etc.).
Personally, I also prefer the digital version because I prefer to pay more so I don't have any discs lying around and have to change them. In addition, I don't buy / sell used games, I don't wait until something gets cheaper and I don't use Blurays.
You can also share games. When you have a partner, you're effectively only paying half that.
But yes, you can do that. There's nothing more to consider. 😄
