Ps5 wlan problem?

Guys, please need a reasonable answer to my upcoming question. Namely: I have new Internet (Vodafone 1gbit), but get everything at home via Wi-Fi. I took the 5GHZ variant through the router settings to receive more data (i.e. Higher download and upload rates).

the only device that causes problems is the ps5 console. If I connect them via the 5GHZ frequency band, the Internet connection is constantly breaking off despite the high download and upload speed.

If I switch the console to 2.4 GHZ frequency, the connection remains constant, but it has a speed of less than 100 mbit -.-.

I will connect the console via LAN during the next few days to fix the problem, but I would still be interested in why this is the case even though the console supports 5GHZ…

Apparently the PS5 (up to this point) has a 5 GHz issue that emerged from the December update (December 9th). Believe me, you are not the only person having the problem. You would have to stay on 2.4 GHz until the PS5 gets an update to fix the problem.

Ok, that calms me down a bit 😄 as long as it's not an isolated incident. I will still use LAN cables to get full performance

With a fixed channel selection in the 5GHz range, wlanport recommends the lower 4 20MHz channels (channels 36, 40, 44, 48). This does not exclude devices that do not support larger channel widths or higher channels.

did it this way and it works without hanging with full bandwidth 😍😍😍
