First of all hello,
I've turned on my ps4 for a long time to play a game on disc. When I did this, however, my ps4 made strange noises and the only thing that happened is that a window called "Disc not recognized" appeared. I've tried different discs, but none of them work. I cleaned the discs and checked them for scratches and the like.
Are there any tips to fix it?
Try this:
1. Clean the disc with a soft, clean cloth to remove dirt or fingerprints.
2. Try inserting another game, Blu-Ray disc, or DVD to see if it's the game or the drive. Sony declares that the PS4 will not play burned discs or audio CDs.
3. Recreate the database. To do this, access Safe Mode and select option 5 [Rebuild Database]. Here's how you can enter Safe Mode:
Turn off the PS4 by pressing the power button on the front. The power-on indicator flashes a few moments before turning off.
Once the PS is off, press and hold the power button. Release it after hearing two beeps: one the first time you press the button and another 7 seconds later.
Connect the DualShock4 controller to the supplied USB cable and press the PS button on the controller.
4. If the [Rebuild Database] option does not resolve the problem, access Safe Mode, then select option 7 [Initialize PS4 (Reinstall System Software)].
Warning: This option erases all information on the hard drive, including the system software. You will then need to visit the Playstation system update page to download the reinstall version of the PS4 system software.
It could work that way too
If none of that works, then get in touch with Sony customer service. The staff may be able to help you or replace your disc.
A digital library helps: Of course, there's also the option of digitizing your game collection. Then you don't need any more discs, just download the game from your library. However, this is associated with additional costs, as you basically have to buy the games twice.
