I've been developing a voxel game for 5 years now, basically 3D Starbound with quest lines like RPGs in a randomly generated universe. The world consists of "mini-blocks" (0.5m), you can build and discover and much more.
Now I have to somehow make humanity aware of it. Does anyone know YouTuber who would like to play something like that? Or Twitch Streamer? Or news pages?
Language (English, German, …) does not really matter.
I know it would be advertising but send me a link, I would be interested. I'm not a creator or so but still interested
Well, if you're just going to name popular gaming youtubers and give them enough money, they'll surely play your game in one of their videos.
Unfortunately, I do not have a large marketing budget, otherwise I would not ask here, but hire a professional to take care of the marketing.
I can imagine that they want to have a lot of money.
Well, I would send some small to mid-sized youtubers just a key (or maybe two if that's multiplayer) with a message without any obligations, let's see if they want to record. Maybe that will be interesting.
Otherwise just announce and publish on the platform of your choice, as people come across it when they look for new releases.
Haha, funny. On Steam games are no longer just found. You have to do as much marketing as you do everywhere else. On other platforms it looks even worse.
The question is, how do I find smaller to medium sized creators? They are just so small, because they are not found… I have already tried to look for similar games, but with little success.
The sentences contradict each other
"You have to do as much marketing as you do everywhere else. On other platforms it looks even worse."
Is it just as much as changing platforms, or does it look worse on other platforms?
Are already found, but relatively rare.
Proper marketing costs just.
The sentences do not contradict each other. Steam gives you a bit more visibility, but you also take less (because of the 30% fees) than on other platforms. So effectively you have to do just as much marketing and still take less.
Yes, marketing costs, but that's not what it's about, it's about whether someone knows the right creator.
I sent you as a friend request.
Thank you
