When I jog, my legs tire very quickly. In handball they tire more slowly because I have a lot of breaks, as is. I train a total of 8 times a week. Then why do they tire when jogging? Is this an indication of almost twitch fibers?
Please only reply from experienced and qualified. Please no guesses.
How long have you been jogging? Apparently not so long since
It may be that your red muscle fibers, i.e. The ST fibers of the muscles, have not yet been adequately trained or the proportion of your ST fibers in the muscles is rather low, which can slowly tire and withstand a longer load. Endurance athletes have a high proportion of ST fibers. In handball you need more speed and therefore FT fibers (think more of type 2a) are addressed, in strength training FT fibers of type 2x.
I agree. I also train a lot of speed and plyometry.
