I run a Twitch channel which includes an official Bundeswehr rank in the name. Because of the slowly growing and I also see a possibility of extra income I wanted to inquire into how far that is allowed. Should the whole really run as a registered sideline or, albeit unimportant, as a full-time job, may I call myself that at all or are the ranks supported in a special way?
Are you a soldier? At any rate, in Germany I would have found it monstrous and embarrassing if, as an active soldier in a private, civilian activity, I had led my rank in the name or had been so addressed.
This is completely different in Austria. The Austrians are something of title affair, as I was already introduced with my German military rank. Likewise in France. But that sounds like something, if you are addressed with "Mon capitain".
