Getting more viewers on Twitch?

I've been streaming Minecraft on Twitch for 2-3 hours every evening for a week.

However, I get a maximum of 4-5 spectators and only for a short time.

I have an appealing Pb / Banner, actually stopped everything except donations, but somehow nobody comes.

The days come a new microphone and a facecam.

Anyone here has experience or can give me any tips?

Re

So you want to get straight into big business?
Have 100… 200 viewers? Forget it.

You've been with us for the first week… That's nothing. Even 6 months or 1 year is nothing. When you're through year 2 or 3, then you should be concerned.

Time. Time. TIME.
There are enough tips on YT. E.g. From Nelson (German YT).

Maybe try to create fans through YouTube first. There you can then advertise your Twitch Acc

Thank you, you're right.

But the thing is that there's someone who has exactly the same name, just the English spelling and he only started streaming 2 weeks ago and he already has 150 followers and 25-30 viewers / stream and then I feel always bad and then everyone later thinks I'm the copycat.

Re

The problem is… You're one in thousands.
What you should always do is watch your own streams & learn from them. Save your VoD's, watch your stream. What can you do differently?

There are exceptions to having a lot of viewers, at least a few.
Take a look at Montanablack as a bad example, how long he's been doing YouTube and how long he's been streaming. There are many great streamers such as Ninja as an example who have been streaming for years but didn't have their big year until 2019 & 2020.

There are many factors that have to be taken into account, such as the time of day, the time of day, how long you stream, how entertaining is it, how informative, which game, which features do you offer… So in summary: what additional benefits do you offer?

I support e.g. Currently small streamers with all sorts of things, because I can't stream myself due to the lack of internet. You have to be present, not stream at prime time, but rather at out time, when nobody is streaming… Start filling a gap & build on it.

It is also important: TALK! Always… Even if nobody is watching. Be active, don't sit in front of the cam in silence and do nothing or wait for someone to come by. You should also avoid greeting every viewer, waiting until he writes, because there are many lurkers who just want to consume.

Lurker = a quiet viewer who usually wants to have his peace and quiet, who does not always participate in the stream but just watches.

Re

I started streaming in 2013 and had almost 400 followers within 2 months, with an average of 30-40 viewers. Sometimes more than 200 than me, for example. The Forest was allowed to promote a game in front of many others.

Or when Train Fever 2 came out (late 2019), I was the biggest TF2 streamer with 100-300 viewers. Networking was my little plus point here & the invitation to the press team. So I got TF2 for free.

And how did I get it?
I downloaded the game illegally ^^ and streamed it.
The Community Manager spoke to me at the time, we started talking and joined the press team. This way, contacts can be made and new options.

If I would start streaming again today, which I plan to do as soon as I can, then I would start small again, because I'm out too long (early 2020 mandatory break)

Okay, thanks for the tips.

Should I try to play other games that not so many people are streaming?
Which websites / apps can I still use to advertise myself?

If it were okay, I would show you my Twitch Channel, I also uploaded streams there.
Could take a look for 5 minutes and say what is bad / you can do better.

Re

Many people get the idea of advertising their channel. If you want to do something to get more attention, then you should go a different way than what others do. You shouldn't pretend or do something that you really don't do just to get attention.

Play what you want. But analyze the times when prime time is, mostly in the evening hours and use the gaps that arise.

I don't want you to post your link here, that could be viewed as an advertisement. Instead, you could say your name, which is also indirect advertising, but maybe I'll see it in time before the comment is deleted if necessary

4 to 5 viewers after 1 week of streaming are okay. And if there are an average of 2, that's normal too.

It may be better if you build up a foothold elsewhere beforehand or choose niche games that are not yet streaming as many people. I keep seeing people stream hyped games and wonder why no one discovers them. It's no wonder, because there's a lot of competition in hyped games. In addition, hyped games are quickly irrelevant again, with a few exceptions.
