Why is it on Twitch normal streamers to give / donate money, I mean where else you don't just give away money?

Why is it "normal" to give money to streamers on Twitch, I mean, where else do you not just give away money?

Because money is not important to gamers. We're not penny foxes.

Well, they just have their audience, which can be inspired accordingly and then you can just milk it.

I now see it in principle similar to when a hat goes around in a pub after a concert. If I enjoyed the show and felt entertained, then I like to put something in there.

But I do it in moderation - just like I don't go to the pub every night, I don't donate something every time.
