I plan to be streaming games on Twitch in the near future. I wanted to ask whether an upload of 4Mbps is sufficient for this.
If this upload speed is constant, i.e. Does not drop below 3.5 Mbit / s, then you could give it a try.
However, depending on the game, a higher bit rate will be required due to the more extensive movement. I would probably limit the resolution to 1280 x 720 pixels.
It is also important that you do not set the bitrate in the streaming software higher than your upload speed, otherwise your line will not keep up and the picture will jerk.

OK. I tried it yesterday. Only had Fortnite at 720p 30fps and that sometimes bucked when opponents came. But valorant with 720p to even 60fps went smoothly.
