I have a problem with the Wi-Fi on my old PC. Namely I have only about 200. KB / s and if I'm in the same room on the laptop, I have about 1-2MB / s and on the Xbox 30-100MB / s. Do I just need a new wireless adapter or what can it be?
Error in the conversion.
KB / s and KBit / s are not the same, as MB / s and MBit / s are not the same!
For conversion: https://www.heise.de/...enrechner/
Example: 6 MBit / s is 750 KB / s
You have at the xbox certainly not 100MB / s. That would be almost gigabit wlan.
But of course, if your wireless receiver is bad at the pc, the practical bandwidth may shrink.
That does not help me. I want to know why it is slower in the same room on the PC than on the laptop / Xbox and how to fix it.
Have a WLAN stick from 2011 so at least the driver is from 2011. Shall I just get a new one?
If it is really slow, a new stick with current WLan standard or better antenna helps. The really good Wi-Fi sticks have an external antenna which can be used e.g. Can put on the desk.
This is usually a reading error.
Is one enough for 15 euro or something? Can you recommend a cheap so so about 15 euro?
