This recurring billing would take place automatically in 4 days.
I tend to do the latter, but I'm not entirely sure.
You can't pause the membership,
all you can do, as you already mentioned, is to deactivate automatic billing.
This means that you would still have the membership for 4 days and after these 4 days there will be no automatic payment.
You can take out the subscription again at any time.
