Is the Xbox Series S really more powerful than the Xbox one x?

This has been confirmed by Microsoft, but the One x has 6 teraflops and the Series s only 4 teraflops.

Then teraflops would not play a role and what fanboys say about the Ps5 would also be vs right?

So teraflops are not important.

Was confirmed somewhere in the video:

TF are a lot less important than most people think, especially when it comes to consoles. It depends on the architecture as a whole. It's not easy to compare with the PC.

As mentioned there, the XSX also aims at 4k60hz, and not the 4k120hz, but hardly a Microsoft disciple wants to hear that either. 😄

And you don't seem to understand how consoles are operated.

Via HDMI on a TV or monitor.

If you wanted more like 60FpS at 4k or even 8k resolution, you need HDMI 2.1. Very few current TVs and just one monitor have such support.

So if you wanted to benefit from it, you can't avoid buying a new device that is still extremely expensive.

In addition, the console can safely work with a variable resolution below 4k and thus also reach 120hz.

But even that is completely irrelevant because the console is more about the picture on huge TVs with HDR in high resolution. Than the highest possible FpS. 60 are therefore completely sufficient.

Sk

That is absolutely correct, but unfortunately has absolutely nothing to do with my statement.

Ma

Nice to read that you are going with me

I wanted to express that your statement, "the XSX also aims at 4k60hz, and not the 4k120hz, but hardly a Microsoft disciple wants to hear that" is not true.

Ma

Yes that is actually the case. After all, Microsoft is also stopping production of the One X because the Series S is a cheaper and better alternative.

Not the terraflops alone are decisive, but also how fast the architecture of GPU and CPU works. The Series S is much faster there.

The One X has a seven year old processor in the Series S is a brand new one.

Here you can find a detailed report and comparison.

In relation to the Playstation, however, the comparison does not work because the architecture of both consoles is almost the same. The Series X not only has more terraflops but should also be a bit more powerful than the PS5.

But these are minimal differences that will probably only show their effect over time.

Sk

The given goal for the new consoles is the 4k60hz, which does not completely exclude higher rates.

But I maintain that this will only be the case in absolutely exceptional cases. I therefore advise people who are thinking about a new device against buying an expensive device with HDMI 2.1 because their expectations are a bit too high. Someone who attaches importance to getting the maximum out of the game usually does not aim to play any pixelated 2D indie games with 4k120hz.

This is a slightly exaggerated extreme example, but it should make it clear what I'm getting at.

Ma

I think you are right.

Many are not aware that the performance can only be obtained in very few games. And that only with the corresponding image reproduction option.

But the technical improvements are not limited to resolution and FPS.

So the purchase of a new HDMI 2.1 device is not a crucial issue.

Unless someone has too much money and doesn't know what to do with it.
