I have read many times that the Playstation is generally a lame crutch when it comes to the network, but it is absolutely serious for me. I have a PS4 and an Xbox One. First of all: I changed router settings, released ports, changed DNS servers, both individually and simultaneously. Upnp is on and a fixed IP over 200 did not bring anything.
If I plug the LAN cable into the Xbox, the download speed is between 600 and 700 Mbs. If I plug the same cable (or a different one) into the Ps4, the download is 10 to 20 Mbs. This is an extreme difference and since everything works with the Xbox, it can't be due to the router, provider or the cable. Anyone maybe have any ideas?
Thanks, I did the research and the ports are all released.
Maybe the Xbox gives it in Mbit / s and the PS in MB / s…
An Xbox 600Mb / s never charges… Such a speed is currently not possible.
That with 20Mb / s with PS is also normal. But it is not due to the hardware but to the limitation by the server. Maybe Microsoft is a little better…
Yes, that's right. 608 Mbit / s with the XBOX, 35 Mbit / s with the PS4
Yes, but I can't even play a Youtube video with the PS.
That is of course strange. But even 5mbit is enough for a YouTube video… It's not because of the speed. The speed tests on the PS are also rubbish. It can't show more than 50mbit… But you also have NAT type 2 … Something doesn't fit there yet. And 168 ping on xbox is just bad too…
