Hi, I have a fritzbox in the basement of my house, this serves as a "modem" and as a Dect base station. Then the LAN signal is diverted to a UDM-Pro, after which it is routed, among other things, to a Uc AC Pro and from there to another Fritzbox 7390 which I still ahtte there. This should function as a DECT amplifier in living areas. At the same time I use it as a LAN switch (only for XBox and TV):) Now I have the problem that the phones are always briefly connected to base 2 (Fritzbox 7390) on full reception, but after 1-2 days with base 1 (Fritzbox in the basement) connect on only 2 bars at the point of base 2 and as soon as you are a little further away the connection breaks off completely. Btw a FritzPhone is used as the telephone.
How do I get the phones to automatically connect to the base station with the best reception and not always with 1? As I said after a restart of the 7390 it works again for 2 days but I have no desire to restart it every 2 days.
Many greetings
Paul
PS: I read spelling weaknesses, please excuse the mistakes.
With DECT you can only couple one station at a time.
This does not work like WLAN, that the devices change stations.
I would simply deactivate DECT on the FritzBox with the DSL connection and only couple it with the box in the living area.
A help article is available here:
You have probably set up the box in the living area as a mesh repeater, if not you should still do that.
