Ark taming animals on Xbox?

Knows how I tame animals in ark but not how I put it in their inventory because I've already found out how I do it but then e.g. My Dodo gets my complete arsenal and I have to bring it back into my inventory.

First of all, I bred dodos so that they lay eggs and I wouldn't starve

If you'd rather slay the dodos, you'd have meat and leather - a simple fire turns raw meat into wonderful food that even replenishes the blood…
