Ark Crossplay between Pc and Xbox?

I recently got Ark Survival evolved on Steam and would like to play with a friend playing on the Xbox.

Will there be Crossplay soon? Is this already there or does one have to consider something specific?

At Ark this does not work at the moment. At Steam anyway, it is currently the case, which is currently not interested in those responsible.

The only one that will do anything if any in the near future is Epic.

Unfortunately, you can't play with the steam version, but there's the microsoft version that can be played via pc, which runs on the same servers as the xbox. Unfortunately, you would have to buy ark in the microsoft store again, or your friend on the xbox shared it with you.
Note you should here that pc and console are different, on console there are currently no mods.
