With PS4 you pay monthly / yearly money so that you can play online. With xBox, I think it's the same.
PC you don't have to pay online and you can play any game directly in multiplayer.

- In my experience, PC versions of games are easier / more often cheaper than console versions. Pc also has a bunch of good, albeit smaller, but cheaper games that are often not available on the console. The average price for good games is lower. (Of course, always measured by the season)
