Wanted to ask if in 2019 an Xbox One S still worth it. Have a bit of concern because next year, a new Xbox comes out that the One S is no longer supported.

I do not think so, as the new generation of consoles is coming soon. In general, however, you will be happier with a PC.
Since with the Xbox One S you have all One titles and some 360+ orig. Play Xbox titles, you should have enough choice. No new console will change that.
Personally, I would then grab the X.
I would like to buy, but unfortunately I'm still a student and still need a scooter driver's license, so the money would not be long for a PC.
An Xbox One is worthwhile even if there's already the next Xbox. Especially as a student you can then access hundreds of great games that are not available on the next Xbox.
So a clear YES. Buy an Xbox One.
