Defragment console hard drive?

I have a question, and you can defragment the hard drive of a console (of course the consoles with an HDD), whether it's an Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 or PS4?

I've heard that defragmenting the hard drive will last longer.

Does the operating system of the respective consoles do it itself or does it just have to be done on a windose computer?

Hard drives are designed for a lot of head movements. There are tons of other criteria that affect the life of the plate that are much more important. Primarily selection: you can get a good or a bad model.

Fragmentation plays only a subordinate role here anyway. The loading times (and thus the number of head movements) hardly differ even with a Windows PC, whether defragmented or not.

Especially since there's hardly any essential fragmentation anyway with the typical usage model of consoles (game data compared to others such as thin provisioning virtual machines, etc.), I would therefore simply ignore the topic of defragmentation and enjoy the games on the game consoles. There's a very high probability that the hard drive will exceed the useful life of the console.
