How can I record gameplay from the console?

I need your help on the question above.

Please read text anyway! \ / \ / \ /

I would like to, since I don't have a good PC, record gameplay from my XBOX One and upload it to YouTube or the like or, if possible, stream it.

So I wanted to know what different methods I could use and how they work. For example, I know the possibility of a capture card but would be grateful if someone would explain to me how exactly it works then; where exactly I have to connect it, how I take it, etc. Because I don't know the Capture Card exactly.

But I'm grateful for all tips, not just for the capture card.

If I then have the file on the PC, I know how to do it with cutting and uploading and such. But I think you know what I mean. But also gladly take tips on this. (e.g. Good, preferably free, recording programs for bad PCs)

I would also be interested in how I then z. B. Can send the material to my PC.

I don't have any myself, but it was explained to me that this recording device (cart = card is misleading) is connected via HDMI cable between the console and the television. Everything else you should perhaps ask the specialist.

You can simply insert a USB stick into your Xbox One (3.0 and NFST formatted) and then select the location for recording in the xbox setting because the usb stick aös storage location, so you can then record up to 60min (voice only works separately with pc or Cell phone) then you can simply plug usb into your laptop and cut the video with the separately recorded voice

There are different types of capture cards.

First of all, which are built directly into the PC. These then only have video inputs.
With these, the console is connected directly to the capture card and the bind can only be called up on the PC.

On the other hand, there are external capture cards that are connected to the PC via USB. These usually have both a video input and a video output.
With these, the capture card is switched between the console and the television / monitor, so that you can normally see the image of the console on the television / monitor and you also have it on your PC.

Depending on the capture card, the manufacturer also provides a program for recording and streaming.
Otherwise you can also use the capture card signal with other programs such as Record / stream OBS.

Thank you for the helpful answer.

Does it then come to streaming on the hardware of my PC or do I gamble normally on the Xbox and the PC only serves as a means of transmission to Twitch, YT or similar?

Many thanks for the answer.

Thanks a lot. The answer helped me a little.

You gamble normally on the console.

The hardware of the PC is then only used to process the incoming video signal and to send it to Twitch, YT, etc. Forward.
Depending on the quality / resolution in which you process the video signal, a certain amount of hardware performance is required, but not nearly as much as to play the game itself.

Ah ok.
