How do I join Minecraft bedrock edition v1.16.40?

I play on the Xbox and have v1.16.200.52 and am in beta. I would like to play with a friend but it is in v.1.16.40 and when I join it it says "Server out of date" it can also play on a server so how do I get the latest version of Minecraft?

It should actually be fixed by simply updating your Minecraft.

When I install and start MC I'm not in the beta but it is updated at the same time and when I restart MC I'm back in the beta.

Is it possible to use and update the Xbox One Edition without any problems, without the Bedrock intervening? Ab Abnormal33
