Clean Xbox series controller with glass cleaner?

Should you clean your controller with glass cleaner? I did it once with very little and I have the feeling it has attacked the surface a bit. Am I imagining it or can it really be?

Please don't do it! A glass cleaner is for glass surfaces and not for plastics.
