Minecraft Crossplay Switch and Xbox 360?

A friend of mine has Minecraft on Xbox 360 and I on Switch, so I just wanted to ask if it is possible that we can play together?

I read that it doesn't work because the Xbox 360 is a very special edition and not a Bedrock version like the other consoles. I just wasn't sure whether all of this is still up to date.

I read that too. As far as I know nothing has changed. If your friend has a smartphone, they can use it to play Minecraft with you.

It should even be possible to connect your Xbox controller to your mobile phone. Although it then has a smaller screen, it is an alternative
