Basically, the connection of the headset does not prevent the sound output on the TV but the sound is then output via headset and TV. You can simply turn off the sound on the TV itself.

Yes ordered one on Amazon it is for xbox microphone and sound output of the headset works when sending audio messages but the actual gameplay will not play the sound
