Hdmi 1.4 shouldn't even support 144hz, it can support 120hz at 1080p.

That is quite uninteresting, according to the specifications on the xbox page, the xbox series x only has dp, i.e. You will only be able to play 120hz 1080p or 4k60 if you really only have hdmi 1.4 (b).
