Do I have to pay for this (Xbox)?

I received a message from Micorsoft that my Xbox subscription has expired and it is currently paused. I forgot to cancel the subscription and now it says there:

My question now is whether I have to pay this urgently because I no longer play on my Xbox.

I'm not quite sure if they would lock your account if you didn't pay.

If in doubt, write to support and ask if you can suspend the subscription first.

I was about to do it but it's 11pm.

You can still write a message to them anyway, because most of the time there's no immediate reply anyway.

True, it is often the case that you do not rate the answer but the message. I would also recommend you to write to them.
