On the pc only 100mbit despite 1Gbit line?

I got my new router from Vodafone today. I ordered the 1Gbit line there. The router is called Vodafone Station.
Now I have the problem that my Pc only receives 100mbits. The status of my roommate's Xbox is "1Gbit". At the port where my pc is connected, unfortunately only 100mbit.
The Xbox is directly connected to the router. My PC via a Fritz powerline adapter, which according to the packaging has a transmission rate of up to 500mbits. However, I only get the 100.

Tried to swap the cables (CAT 5e).

I made a driver update for my network adapter (Realtek PCIe GbF Family Controller # 2) and changed the settings for "Speed and Duplex" to 1.0Gbit / s full duplex.

I tried different ports on the router.

I just made Windows updates.

Unfortunately, none of this brought anything and I'm slowly desperate.

The 1 Gbit / s or 100 Mbit / s are not download rates, but the interface bandwidth. LAN interfaces negotiate a bandwidth with one another, which in the home is either 10, 100 or 1000 Mbit / s. I suspect that a maximum bandwidth of 100 Mbit / s is set in the router settings.

My Fritzbox has "Power Moder" (1 Gbit / s) and "Green Mode" (100 Mbit / s), which I can set on two ports.

You have to set the settings in the driver of your network adapter to Auto again. Otherwise there are problems. A Cat 5e cable is perfectly fine.

I already checked that yesterday. Unfortunately, this setting does not exist in the Vodafone station. The Vodafone station runs on 1 Gbit from the factory.

Definitely switch to auto again. The fixed setting of duplex and speed must always be made on both sides. You can't make a fixed setting on your router, so use the car.

And then you take another device and connect it to the same router port. If this device negotiates 1 Gbit / s with the router, your computer / your interface has a problem. If the other device is also at 100 Mbit / s, the problem is with the router. Try the other device with different cables.

Put it back on auto. Have tried all cables and all ports. Unfortunately none of it worked. The Xbox works on all ports with 1Gbit. The Fritz Powerline Adapter, i.e. The Internet for my PC, on all ports and with all cables on 100mbits. Now I could only try to connect the PC directly to the router. For that I would have to dismantle it, but what the heck.

Of course, you also have to check the port settings on the powerline adapter. And of course it makes sense to connect the computer directly to the router and try out several ports there.
